Woman prepares a sea salt and baking soda bath for spiritual cleansing before distant healing, a key step in spiritual hygiene.

Clearing Your Space and Body Before Healing

Clearing your space—your room, your house, your healing space—requires you to clear yourself too.

Our own thoughts vibrate at various frequencies. Clearing this stagnant energy—especially when you’re dealing with illness, disruption, or no support—can be challenging. I’m not going to go into a deep-dive cleansing ritual. What follows is a simple yet powerful cleansing process.

Clearing Your Body

Baking soda and sea salt baths are a great way to remove stagnant energy from your body. You can add herbs to your bath if you like. The herbs must correspond with your cleansing or healing intentions.

You may find yourself repeating the same thoughts over and over again, not realizing how they are affecting your healing.

Clearing Your Space

You can also create a spray to remove stagnant energy from your room or healing space. If there have been arguments in the home, use it to clear your house. I don’t push the traditional floor-washing ritual because many people aren’t able to clean their house like that while recovering. A spray made from one to three herbs is enough. Always think simple. Complex isn’t necessary.

Right now, I’m only talking about stagnant energy created from emotional thoughts—grief, pain, unhappiness, etc.

Emotional Vibrations That Can Affect Your Healing

Certain emotional energies carry a vibration that lingers—and if not cleared, they can build up in your home, your healing space, and even around your body. These vibrations can impede and even block your progress when you’re trying to heal emotionally, spiritually, or physically.

Here are just a few that show up often:

  • Feeling sick or unwell

  • Chronic stress

  • Deep grief

  • Long-term unhappiness

  • Feelings of abandonment

  • Loneliness

  • Anger or resentment

  • Fear

  • Helplessness

  • Rejection

Deeper Emotional Residue That Often Goes Unseen

  • Shame – Feeling unworthy, dirty, or deeply flawed

  • Guilt – Regret over actions or inaction that lingers

  • Embarrassment – Replay of humiliating experiences or judgment

  • Betrayal – Wounds from broken trust, even decades old

  • Jealousy or Envy – Comparisons that drain your sense of worth

  • Confusion – Inner chaos that clouds decisions and direction

  • Resentment – Unspoken anger that festers quietly

  • Overwhelm – Mental fatigue from carrying too much emotionally

  • Hopelessness – A sense that things will never improve

  • Isolation – Feeling unseen, disconnected, or unsupported

  • Self-doubt – Questioning your own judgment or path

  • Imposter syndrome – Feeling like a fraud despite your efforts

  • Powerlessness – Feeling like nothing you do makes a difference

  • Anxiety – Anticipatory fear, even when nothing is wrong

  • Regret – Wishing the past were different

  • Suppressed anger – Rage held inside for too long

These emotional energies may not be visible, but they leave energetic residue—like smoke lingering after a fire. And when not acknowledged or cleared, they can lodge into your field, your home, or even the walls of your healing space.
