I AM Healed

Those words, along with visualization and God’s healing power, have carried someone I worked with through her healing challenges. After reading my testimony, a woman reached out, sharing how closely our experiences mirrored one another.

I share this reflection believing that what resonates deeply for one person may offer insight and encouragement for others. Channeled healing energy is just one step on the healing journey.

“I AM” is God’s eternal name—ever-present, unchanging, the source of all being.

So when you say I AM healed, you are speaking from the power of God.

A Reflected Experience

Surviving cancer, for most, is rippled with fear. As this woman overcame each obstacle, her power grew, and she shared her journey.

She had wins, and she never experienced loss.

What became clear through her reflection is this: healing is layered. Healing doesn’t always arrive the way we expect, but when it does, it arrives in divine timing and in divine order.

That, in itself, was a win.

Faith

No matter what we do, faith always plays a role. Not the kind that denies reality, but the kind that confirms it by listening deeply. The kind that trusts inner knowing. The kind that recognizes when clarity aligns with confirmation.

This experience did not leave her untouched. There was fatigue. There was vulnerability. There was humility. And still, there was strength. That, too, was a win.

Survival teaches responsibility. It changes how we move through the world and how we offer support to others. It makes us more careful, more compassionate, and more grounded. It also reinforces that advocating for oneself—especially as a woman—matters.

I am grateful for those who trust me as a spiritual healer.

Spiritual healing request, what they cover and don't cover

Understanding Your Healing Request

What It Is, and Why it Matters

When people reach out to this ministry, it is often during times of heaviness, confusion, fear, and uncertainty. I understand—because when life feels overwhelming, your first instinct is to reach for healing in every area of life.

But there is a difference between a healing request and a prayer request.

A healing request is focused on a physical condition—an illness, injury, or bodily imbalance. That is where spiritual healing energy can be directed.

A prayer request is for your life—your relationships, finances, emotions, stress, heartbreak, hope, purpose, or guidance. These needs are valid and important. But prayer and healing are not the same.

In this ministry, I honor both—but I do not treat them as the same.

Why It Matters

Healing energy does not fix your life circumstances.
It does not clean up confusion or remove problems.
It does not go into your finances, relationships, or emotional emergencies.

It goes where it is spiritually permitted—most often, directly to the body.

That’s why clarity matters when submitting a request.

Healing Is Co-Creation

Healing is co-creation between you, your soul, the universal healing energy of God, and the willingness of your body to receive it.

That is why I often ask seekers who use my spiritual guidance service:

“What do you keep telling yourself about yourself?”

Because your thoughts carry energy.
They create vibration.
They shape your experience, and they influence your readiness to receive healing.

Why Vibrational Sensitivity Matters in Healing

Before I send healing energy, I first have to sense whether it is spiritually and energetically permitted.  Not every energy field is open, clear, or ready—and this is where spiritual sensitivity becomes a tool of discernment, not judgment.

free healing usa, rev sj burns dc spiritual hearler

A Gentle Note on Vibrational Sensitivity

Spiritual healing is connected to vibration. Everything in life carries vibration—people, thoughts, emotions, environments, even memories.

NIH research has confirmed that the human body is naturally equipped with vibration-sensitive receptors in the skin. Most people never notice them. But for some, this sensitivity becomes more active, more spiritual, and more informative.

That is what happened to me.
It did not burst forth from visualizing or training.
It came forward strongly yet naturally, unexpectedly, and totally out of my control during my first semester at NSSC.

It took time before I learned how to manage it.
Today, it functions as a measuring tool in my healing ministry.

It helps me sense whether a person’s energy field is faint, strong, or heavy with thought forms.

Aura scanning is not done with judgment.
It simply helps determine if we can work together—because spiritual permission must be present.

Rejection is not an insult.
If someone rejects me as their healer—it’s okay.
My spirit also has the right to softly decline what it cannot work with. That, too, is not an insult.

Permission is what matters.

This is why I ask for it clearly on the intake form.
Healing energy helps where it is spiritually allowed.

✨ One request. One intention. One step at a time.

I Choose Peace

Turning Chaos into Control

Choosing peace isn’t always easy. Some people can’t choose it because having a voice could cost them their safety. Not everyone lives in the same kind of chaos. Some are trapped in physical or emotional abuse where speaking up is dangerous; for them, silence becomes their way of survival. But when you’re on equal ground, peace means learning when to stand, when to speak, and when to put out the fire.

We abuse ourselves when we stop speaking up for ourselves. This isn’t about being confrontational—it’s about self-advocacy. You have to be your own advocate for peace, because no one else will carry that responsibility. If you have a peace advocate, consider yourself blessed. If not, you have to muster up the power to do it yourself.

There are those who thrive on chaos, and they are spiritually recognized as disturbers of peace. They’ll light a fire just to feel alive. You don’t have to join them in their desire for misery.

Find your fire extinguisher — your tool that helps you put out their flame before it pulls you in. That’s temptation you have to overcome. Use your fire extinguisher every time someone tries to drag you into conflict for their own satisfaction. That’s what real self-advocacy looks like: refusing to be fuel for someone else’s flame.

Some spiritual leaders advise people to walk away from chaos. I’m not one to disagree, but I believe in finding the wisdom within. Chaos comes in many forms, and wisdom unfolds on many levels. Your inner god will reveal what’s needed when you’re living by divine principles.

Leaving is necessary for those who can’t advocate for themselves or people trapped in physical or mental abuse. For them, escape is survival. But when you’re dealing with someone on equal ground, peace doesn’t always mean walking away. It means knowing how to stand up to opposition, when to speak, and when to use that inner fire extinguisher with wisdom to keep things from burning out of control.

Peace doesn’t just happen — it’s maintained. It’s the daily work of standing firm, speaking truth, and keeping your conscious mind out of the fire while learning to work in harmony with your soul or spirit.

Figuring Out What Tool Works for You

There’s no single formula for peace. It’s a living practice you troubleshoot, test, refine, and repeat with a new solution. This is your life and your inner body — placing your own situation under a spiritual microscope is an important step in choosing peace.

Answers appear each time you seek a solution, even if that solution is temporary. It worked — and that’s what matters in that moment. When you take the time to evaluate, you’ll see how each one can work independently or alongside other solutions or tools.

I could give you my solutions, but then you’d never seek to connect with that part of yourself where your inner God reveals answers meant for you. I’d be enabling dependency instead of helping you build trust in your own divine guidance.

Turning Chaos into Control

Healing happens in both chaos and peace, but the process looks very different. In chaos, the lessons keep repeating themselves until you find the root cause or choose peace over the storm. Healing becomes harder when your emotions, body, and mind are pulled in too many directions. Peace, on the other hand, gives your spirit space to guide and restore you.

Peace Matters

When you learn to advocate for your peace, you create the environment your soul needs to do its work. Each time you quiet a storm, step back from drama, or refuse to let someone pull you into their fire, you strengthen your ability to heal. That’s where transformation happens — in the moments when you stop reacting and start listening to the voice within.

Healing isn’t just about feeling better. It’s about learning differently — understanding that peace doesn’t end the lesson; it helps you finally pass it.

Meditation for Healing

Meditation can be more than relaxation. When used with intention, it becomes a way to help the body and the emotional body release stress and open to greater balance.

As the mind quiets, tension eases, breathing deepens, and the body’s natural energy begins to flow again. This state supports physical healing and soothes the emotional body, allowing it to release stored pain and stress.

Meditation also strengthens the chakra system — the body’s energy centers. When these centers are balanced, energy moves freely and the body’s own self-healing capacity can activate more fully. Pain may lessen, emotions calm, and a sense of wholeness can emerge.

In spiritual healing, meditation creates a space where the emotional and physical bodies can respond to the light of Spirit. The spirit itself is never broken; it remains whole and connected to the soul. Meditation simply helps us align our thoughts, emotions, and physical state so that healing can occur.

Even a few minutes of quiet meditation each day can help the body and emotional body shift into this natural rhythm of healing.

What Is a Spiritual Minister?

Why Some Religious Leaders Fear Spiritual Gifts Outside the Church

By Rev. Starlene Joyner Burns, DC Healing Minister

When You’re Called to Divine Healing

When someone is called to healing, it doesn’t always come through ancestral guidance, holy anointing, or a self-proclaimed feeling. It can arrive in a dream, a strong prophetic vision—something that shakes the soul awake.

I remember waking up from my calling full of tears and fear. I didn’t know what to do or how to get started. So I turned to someone I trusted for guidance — a devout Christian cousin, full of conviction. She pointed me toward a church her godson pastored.

But when I visited his church, I quickly realized—their healing modality wasn’t it.

What they called “healing” didn’t align with what I knew deep within. And trust me, at the time, I didn’t know much. I wasn’t even a spiritualist yet. I was still walking a Christian path… but that was about to change.

He preached, saying those seeking positions just wanted to be “superstars” — implying folks had to start at the bottom and earn their place. I truly thought the church would be welcoming, but I quickly learned that Christian churches often weren’t. What he said reflected how many churches operate — you don’t grow because you’re called, you grow by playing into hierarchy and favoritism. Perplexed, I didn’t know what my next move would be, so I left it to my inner God.

That week, the answer came.

A newsletter arrived from a local metaphysical church I had visited months earlier. Inside was a list of upcoming classes—and one of them was Platform Healing.

I read the description and said to my inner God, “It’s a start.”  That newsletter became my confirmation.

I took the class. Then I served that church as a spiritual healer for two years. And like many souls that grow, it was time for me to fly.

So What Is a Spiritual Minister?

A spiritual minister is someone called into sacred service without being bound to one religion. We honor the God within each person and serve from a place of spiritual insight, not religious dogma.

We recognize that people are gifted in many ways:

  • Clairvoyant (clear seeing)
  • Clairaudient (clear hearing)
  • Clairsentient (clear feeling)
  • Prophetic, healing, intuitive, or wise

These gifts may be expressed in churches, spiritual centers, or in quiet personal practice. Wherever they appear, they are entrusted by God — sacred assignments passed through the bloodline, safeguarded by the Divine and ancestral angels.

With proper training, these gifts are used with integrity, responsibility, accountability, and always harmlessly.

We don’t just acknowledge spiritual gifts — we honor them, teach them, and help others walk in them with discipline and care.

Why Traditional Religion Often Rejects the Gifted

Many religious traditions teach about gifts of the spirit — but only within the walls of their institution. If your gift shows up outside that structure, you may be labeled something negative, just so others can feel empowered.

This fear has nothing to do with truth — and everything to do with control.

Spiritual gifts aren’t meant to be managed by man-made hierarchies. They are assigned by God before one incarnates through their mother’s womb. They do not require a pulpit or a church to be valid. They just require obedience, love, responsibility, and discernment.

Why Spiritual Ministers Are Needed Now

People today are seeking truth outside of religion. Not because they’ve lost faith — but because their faith has grown beyond limitation.

Spiritual ministers serve those who:

  • Have been wounded by religious judgment
  • Are gifted but feel unseen
  • Seek healing beyond traditional boundaries
  • Desire sacred rituals that reflect their personal path
  • Want to grow spiritually without being confined by doctrine

We meet people where they are — and remind them of who they are.

Spirituality Is Not a Label

I’ve used the term “non-denominational” before, because people understand it. But that’s not really who I am. Spiritual minister goes deeper. It’s a life path.

🌿 Many Expressions, One Source

As spiritual ministers, we recognize the sacredness in all paths rooted in light, love, and alignment with God.

🕊 Final Thought

If you’ve ever felt called, gifted, or misunderstood by traditional religion — you’re not alone. And you’re not lost. You just need a space where your spirit can breathe.

Faith & Action in Spiritual and Energy Healing

Many people understand the role of faith when it comes to healing, but far fewer understand it when the words “distant,” “remote,” or “energy” are added in front of it. Healing in any form isn’t magic, and it isn’t automatic. It’s a process — one that works best when the seeker is an active participant.

Here’s what you should know: Seek, and ye shall find.

Healing is not a one-way street. The healer’s energy can open doors, shift patterns, and create space for healing, but the seeker must walk through those doors and take part in their own recovery.

I know this because I’ve been there. I was a seeker too, searching for a solution and trying anything. My story is just a little different.

👇🏾  My 1992 Story

In 1992, I got sick with something doctors couldn’t diagnose. I went through tests and frustration. I was desperate for a better life without pain. Then one day, months after they gave me — let’s call it this diagnosis — they had to call it something. Well after all that, I stumbled across a TV evangelist teaching on faith healing. His challenge was simple:

“Try it. Either it works, or it doesn’t. You’re already sick, so the worst that happens is nothing changes — or you get better.”

Desperation Met Opportunity

I began saying the affirmation from Isaiah 53:5 — “By the stripes of Jesus, I am healed” — no matter how I felt. I connected deeply with my inner God, even though I used the name Jesus. This proves you don’t have to be a Christian to use that affirmation — the name carries a healing power because people have poured centuries of belief (hopes, dreams) into it. With that also comes its opposite (faith born out of fear, desperation, lack). I will admit I used that affirmation when I was walking the Christian path. Now I’m following God.

Faith + Action = Transformation

Here’s the key: I didn’t just sit and repeat words. I searched for solutions, explored healing practices, and opened myself to guidance. After six months of steady affirmations and seeking, my pain was gone, and I was off medication. That faith journey became the gateway to meditation, prophetic dreams, and the healer I am today.

It didn’t happen instantly.
It didn’t happen by me doing nothing.
It happened because I took action.

The Role of the Seeker in Distant Healing

When people reach out to me for healing, they are often seeking a fix-now solution. And I understand — I was that person once. But distant healing isn’t magic that erases pain overnight. It’s a collaboration between Spirit, healer, and seeker. The seeker’s belief, openness, and willingness to take inspired action are just as important as the healing energy sent.

The scripture says, “Seek and ye shall find” — and seeking means moving, searching, and showing up for your own healing.

How Spiritual Healing Works

When people witness a spiritual healing session — especially one with no physical touch — they often wonder:

“What exactly is happening here?”

It may look subtle, but what’s taking place is profound.

Spiritual healing moves energy with intention. But how it moves — and where it moves — depends on the method, the healer, and the divine guidance involved.

🔻 Channeling Divine Energy Downward

Rev. Starlene Joyner Burns has studied and practiced many healing modalities over the years. In some traditions — especially those found in metaphysical churches — the energy of God is channeled downward through the crown chakra and into each of the main chakras.

Each chakra governs different emotional and physical functions. For example:

  • The heart chakra influences the lungs and circulatory system.

  • The solar plexus supports digestion and self-power.

When divine energy flows downward through these centers, it supports healing in the areas where those energies reside. This pathway brings light, alignment, and spiritual nourishment into the physical form.

🔺 Raising Energy Upward to the Inner God

In contrast, the National Spiritual Science Center (NSSC) healing modality — which Rev. Starlene has practiced for decades — raises energy upward, from the body toward the Higher Self.

This method activates the spiritual controller, also known as the Inner God — the divine consciousness within each person. It’s a way of saying: “Let the God in me rise up and respond.”

In this approach, the energy isn’t just flowing; it’s working in cooperation with your divine nature to initiate healing, not just physically but also emotionally and spiritually.

This upward movement is powerful because it invites the part of you that already knows how to heal — your spiritual intelligence — to take the lead.

🧭 Why Both Paths Matter

Rev. Starlene doesn’t choose one method over the other. She listens — to the person, the moment, and the guidance she receives.

Sometimes, healing energy needs to descend — to fill and realign the body’s energetic centers.
Other times, energy needs to rise — to awaken the Inner God so that healing becomes a divine collaboration.

Either way, healing is never random. It’s spiritually guided and always intentional.

Clearing Your Space and Body Before Healing

Clearing your space—your room, your house, your healing space—requires you to clear yourself too.

Our own thoughts vibrate at various frequencies. Clearing this stagnant energy—especially when you’re dealing with illness, disruption, or no support—can be challenging. I’m not going to go into a deep-dive cleansing ritual. What follows is a simple yet powerful cleansing process.

Clearing Your Body

Baking soda and sea salt baths are a great way to remove stagnant energy from your body. You can add herbs to your bath if you like. The herbs must correspond with your cleansing or healing intentions.

You may find yourself repeating the same thoughts over and over again, not realizing how they are affecting your healing.

Clearing Your Space

You can also create a spray to remove stagnant energy from your room or healing space. If there have been arguments in the home, use it to clear your house. I don’t push the traditional floor-washing ritual because many people aren’t able to clean their house like that while recovering. A spray made from one to three herbs is enough. Always think simple. Complex isn’t necessary.

Right now, I’m only talking about stagnant energy created from emotional thoughts—grief, pain, unhappiness, etc.

Emotional Vibrations That Can Affect Your Healing

Certain emotional energies carry a vibration that lingers—and if not cleared, they can build up in your home, your healing space, and even around your body. These vibrations can impede and even block your progress when you’re trying to heal emotionally, spiritually, or physically.

Here are just a few that show up often:

  • Feeling sick or unwell

  • Chronic stress

  • Deep grief

  • Long-term unhappiness

  • Feelings of abandonment

  • Loneliness

  • Anger or resentment

  • Fear

  • Helplessness

  • Rejection

Deeper Emotional Residue That Often Goes Unseen

  • Shame – Feeling unworthy, dirty, or deeply flawed

  • Guilt – Regret over actions or inaction that lingers

  • Embarrassment – Replay of humiliating experiences or judgment

  • Betrayal – Wounds from broken trust, even decades old

  • Jealousy or Envy – Comparisons that drain your sense of worth

  • Confusion – Inner chaos that clouds decisions and direction

  • Resentment – Unspoken anger that festers quietly

  • Overwhelm – Mental fatigue from carrying too much emotionally

  • Hopelessness – A sense that things will never improve

  • Isolation – Feeling unseen, disconnected, or unsupported

  • Self-doubt – Questioning your own judgment or path

  • Imposter syndrome – Feeling like a fraud despite your efforts

  • Powerlessness – Feeling like nothing you do makes a difference

  • Anxiety – Anticipatory fear, even when nothing is wrong

  • Regret – Wishing the past were different

  • Suppressed anger – Rage held inside for too long

These emotional energies may not be visible, but they leave energetic residue—like smoke lingering after a fire. And when not acknowledged or cleared, they can lodge into your field, your home, or even the walls of your healing space.

Spiritual protection using white light recommended by Rev. SJ Burns

🛡 Spiritual Protection When Receiving Healing Energy

When you open yourself to healing energy—you’re also opening your energetic field to the unseen world.

It doesn’t matter what kind of healing it is—spiritual or physical. This applies whether you’re in a sacred healing space, a hospital, a nursing home, or recovering at home.

This post isn’t about fear. It’s about daily spiritual hygiene—the kind that helps you stay safe, balanced, and in alignment while receiving healing.

⚠ Why Spiritual Protection Matters

When you’re energetically vulnerable, you become more susceptible to lower influences. And building regular protection into your life—just like brushing your teeth or locking your door—matters.

What kind of energy are we talking about?

  • Emotional residue from others around you
  • Energies that don’t belong to you
  • Lower or disruptive vibrations in your environment
  • Energy stirred up by your own negative thoughts

This doesn’t mean someone’s out to harm you. It simply means that energy moves—and you need energetic boundaries the same way you need physical ones.

🧿 A Simple Daily Protection Practice

Visualize white light around your body.
Then say:

“The divine light of God fills me, surrounds me, and protects me.”

If you’re religious, use the language and names that feel sacred to you.

“Only energy aligned with my highest good may enter my field. Everything else returns to God.”

This is just one example, personalize it to match who you are.

Are Your Thoughts Blocking Healing?

Most people want healing—but not everyone is ready for it. And some don’t even realize they’re blocking it.

As a spiritual healer, I’ve seen people ask for healing and reject it in the same breath—because healing means change, and not everyone is ready to let go of what illness gives them.

That doesn’t mean they want to be ill. But sometimes, it’s easier to accept illness than to fight for transformation.

Illness & Love Entanglement

Without realizing it, someone may hold onto illness—not because they want to be sick, but because part of them is afraid of losing the care, the connection, or the sense of purpose it brings.

I’ve seen this. I’ve felt it in the field around those asking for healing.

How I Learned This

A healing service was called to lay hands on a man. On the surface, it looked sincere—but I could feel it was for show. He didn’t want people with problems—or those he disliked—laying hands on him. He was spiritually protected.

Fortunately, I could see his guardian spirit—small and showing itself, blocking me completely.

And it was a relief, because I didn’t want to work on anyone who didn’t want to receive healing through me.
My intentions were good, but my help wasn’t wanted.

As others laid hands, the energy grew heavy. The weight wasn’t falling on him—it was falling on me. I was pushed to my knees. And that’s when it happened: I hit the floor, and my spiritual sight came on.

That’s how it works for me. Not when I ask for it, but when Spirit needs me to see.

Despite my desire to help, I was not permitted.
The spirit stood its ground. It wasn’t malicious—it was simply clear.

I respected that.
And I rose, with the help of another.
Because truth reveals itself to a seer.

Healing Isn’t Passive

I’ve worked with people who said they were ready—until it got close. Then something in their vibration pulled back. A quiet resistance. A soul still choosing.

  • I don’t override free will.
  • I don’t force healing.
  • I honor what’s true.

Healing works with you—not on you.

If you’re not ready, I step back. No judgment. No pressure.

Check Your Thoughts

If your mouth says “Yes” but your vibration says “Not yet,” Spirit won’t force its way in.

You have to decide:

  • Am I ready to let this go?
  • What am I gaining from staying sick?
  • Am I willing to face life without that role, story, or support?

These are sacred questions.

So if you’re receiving free distance healing, pause and check your thoughts. Your healing may already be at the door—but your thoughts may be the ones keeping it locked.
